Apple Butter Kettle Glass Top Supports

We'd inherited an old apple butter kettle with no intention of making any apple butter. A brilliant idea struck me - repurpose this vintage kettle and stand as the base for a family room table. The handle posed a challenge, obstructing a glass top from sitting flat on top of the kettle. I came up with these custom supports to create a raised platform above the kettle handle assembly and provide a sturdy level surface for a glass top. Once the glass top was in place, it became apparent that the supports were self-leveling as they flattened against the glass.
