UPDATE 4: I'm confident that this version is the final one. By adjusting tolerances, a friction fit for the lightning connector should work seamlessly with your device. If you prefer an even more secure connection, there's now a hole designed specifically for a M3x15 socket cap set screw. Keep in mind that using the set screw will leave a small dimple on the soft lightning connector plastic. To avoid this, I recommend threading the screw until it just reaches flush with the cable pathway, then inserting and positioning your cable. A quarter turn to snugly secure the set screw should be sufficient. The woodfill prints shown are at .2mm thickness and 100% infill, giving them a substantial feel that won't move around on your desk excessively. Lastly, an M3x15 will extend about 1mm from the hole. To achieve the fit you see pictured, I shortened it to approximately an M3x13. UPDATE 3: A new version is in development, which includes a dedicated space for an M3 set screw to firmly secure the cable end, rather than relying solely on friction. UPDATE 2: The third revision of this design no longer requires supports during printing. A convenient charging dock for Apple AirPods cases. Simply place your case on its designated spot and it will always be charged. This dock also allows you to hold the case upright and open, making it easy to store your earbuds when not in use.
