In Brisbane, 2008, a mystery surrounds Cornelius Dempsey who lived and died in obscurity last century. His achievements were insufficient to merit historical recognition. In an alternate Brisbane, another Dempsey labored to escape Boggo Road Jail for a crime he didn't commit. He was brilliant, crafting a tunnel not just through walls but across universes and dimensions. Little is known of his fate or if he used his time-traveling machines to escape reality. Public art by Russell Anderson explores imagined histories, featuring interactive "time machines" that are human-powered for lighting and operation. These intriguing sculptures are entirely scratch-built, with one component showcasing a LED light within a bronze endpiece.
