Appalachian fold pair
sketchfab
West Virginia's Corridor H is where a nearby anticline and syncline reshape Silurain tidal-flat carbonates within the Tonoloway Formation. This outcrop lies on the Grant/Hardy County Line in the central Valley & Ridge geologic province. The folds are parasitic structures on the regional-scale Patterson Creek Mountain Antinclinorium, which formed during late Paleozoic (Alleghanian Orogeny) folding.
