Hi everyone! This innovative 2-in-1 mould design is a game-changer, making it possible to create a comfortable silicone rubber broom/rake/mop handle with ease. Take a look at the video of the design and build here - https://youtu.be/x_w8o-u4QrI. Printing all the pieces without supports makes this process seamless. To turn your prints into Broom buddies, follow these steps after printing the mould: 1. Mix up a batch of custom proto-putty (silicone with food coloring as a curing agent and corn starch as a filler) using Grant Thompson's method outlined in his video - https://youtu.be/7fwytA5r2Mw. 2. Roll out a blob of proto-putty to match the size of the mould cavity, being careful not to get it between the mating surfaces. 3. Assemble the mould and secure the alignment ring and cap into place. 4. Push the plunger down fully while avoiding clogging the vent holes - excess putty should escape through these holes. 5. Allow 20-30 minutes for the process to complete, then disassemble the mould using a flat screwdriver if needed. Ta-da! A Broom buddy is now ready to use.
