Apollo ish Helmet Light Cluster - Kids
thingiverse
OK so I know Apollo helmets didn't have a light cluster like this, but my young kids don't care. When "can it have lights please Daddy?" is the question, "YES" is the only acceptable answer. This light cluster matches the kid's helmet here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3392562 The holes in front are 31mm and perfectly sit the 30mm self-contacted remote control color-change LEDs I got from eBay (search and you shall find). Now two things to consider: one, you have to stick this to the helmet at present as I've not figured out a way to dock it to the helmet and be able to take it off without leaving holes in the helmet; two, this is also how you get the lights out if they need changing. Work in progress, will update as I resolve this issue. The indents you see on the cluster are 3mm deep for you to cut out and put in perspex. Mind has a mirror and two black bits for "sensors".
