Apollo c.d. Chigi
myminifactory
As indicated by the quiver strap draped across his torso, the god grasped a bow and arrow with confident ease, adopting a stance of intense contemplation. Embodied around the sturdy tree trunk serving as a support are the god's distinguishing features: the laurel wreath and coiled snake. This particular rendition was part of the Chigi family collection, giving rise to its name. It is an exemplary Roman reinterpretation influenced by a Greek prototype from the 4th century BC.
