Apogee toolhead base for Ender 3 Max
thingiverse
I love the design of the Apogee but seeing as I don’t have an Ender 3 or Ender 3 v2, I also did. Not have an Orbiter V2 so I was a bit stuck. I ended up remixing in Tinker CAD and missed a few changes that I wanted to incorporate. Main changes: 1. Widened the base and moved the mounting holes to fit the Ender 3 Max roller wheel spacing. 2. Moved the print head back to the stock location to clear the bottom roller bolt hole, as in the original configuration where it was moved tot he left it could not be mounted with the heater cartridge to the rear. 3. Changes the bolt pattern for the orbiter from v2.0 to v1.5 ( only because that’s what I needed). 4. Closed the holes for the square buts as I only had heat inserts available. 5. The Ender 3 Max has a unique x carriage that is taller and has a shelf on the top of it. I created an additional spacer to raise the orbiter approx 12.5mm to overcome this. This is still a work in progress but once I get around to properly redesigning in a more powerful CAD program I will post the update.
