The apocalypse had come to the Mushroom Kingdom, and even the once-peaceful Super Stars were now mere tokens of a bygone era. A lone Toad, clinging to life in a desolate wasteland, stumbled upon a withered Mario Shroom, its cap cracked and dry as the earth beneath his feet. The air was thick with an otherworldly stench, a noxious miasma that seemed to sear the lungs of any living creature who dared to breathe it in. Amidst this bleak backdrop, the Toad's eyes locked onto the Shroom, its once-vibrant red now dulled by a sickly yellow haze.
