Ready for AR/VR and game with animation. Aplestosuchus is a long-lost genus of baurusuchid mesoeucrocodylian that once roamed the Late Cretaceous Adamantina Formation of São Paulo, southern Brazil. This ancient creature contains only one species, Aplestosuchus sordidus. A. sordidus is represented by a single articulated and nearly complete skeleton, which amazingly preserves the remains of an unidentified sphagesaurid crocodyliform lodged in its abdominal cavity. The specimen provides irrefutable evidence of predation between different types of crocodyliforms in the fossil record.[1]
