Apidea queen mating nuc frame
cults3d
This is a modified version of the Apidea nuc frame, tailored for immediate printing needs. Although it may not be cheaper to print, its convenience could outweigh any added costs if you require multiple frames in a hurry. To assemble one, simply print a top bar and two side bars. If using Cura, consider increasing infill on the small neck of the sidebar, as this area is prone to weakness. Alternatively, printing the entire frame with 100% infill might be excessive but could provide added security. I've opted for PETG due to potential future use in a wax melter setup. A printed and original frame are displayed side by side in the photo for comparison purposes. Three top bar styles are available: - The stud design, mirroring the original. - A groove style that is faster to print and easier to clean or cut out. - A foundation-enhanced version, yet to be tested for bee acceptance. Additionally, a sidebar alternative can accommodate an optional bottom bar if desired.
