This is a customized version of Apidea nuc frame designed for immediate printing. Although it may not be more cost-effective, it can be a convenient option when you need frames quickly. To print the replica, produce one top bar and two side bars. If using Cura, increase infill on the small neck of the sidebar as this is a vulnerable area. Alternatively, print the entire frame with 100% infill, although this might not be necessary. PETG was used for printing due to its potential compatibility with wax melter applications in the future. A printed and original Apidea nuc frame are shown side by side in the photo for comparison purposes. Three topbar styles are available: - One with studs similar to the original design. - A version with a groove that reduces print time and makes cleanup easier. - Another option features a foundation, which has yet to be tested for bee acceptance. An optional sidebar is also included that can accommodate an additional bottom bar if desired.
