If you like my designs, give them a thumbs up and share a photo of your printed project! I created this rack specifically to hold either eight or sixteen API test tubes. As an avid breeder, I needed something that could be mounted on my breeding rack to hold test tubes securely while testing, as well as dry them afterwards. The holes are 15mm in diameter and can accommodate API test tubes measuring 13mm, leaving a small amount of extra space for flexibility. This design should also work seamlessly with any similar-sized test tubes. For effortless drainage and drying after use (and washing), I included angled holes at the bottom. However, this version does not feature a spot to store the caps; you might consider adding a small box to the ends in future updates to hold them securely. Mounting holes are designed for either a 1/8" screw or an M3 wood screw. To ensure a sturdy hold, I recommend using a pan head or similar headed screw since the holes aren't countersunk. UPDATE: I have added two additional designs with side tabs to minimize the risk of the mounting breaking at layer lines. Additionally, I included a design featuring 16 spots for test tubes and a side tab design that can be printed on a 200x200 bed if rotated 45°. To help you assess compatibility, I also provided a test model that can be printed and used to check whether it will fit your test tubes safely.
