Apex v3
thingiverse
A sturdy quad frame, approximately 5 to 6 inches in size, utilizes 3/4 inch Pex pipe as its robust arms. Despite being nearly indestructible, it is quite heavy. This frame is ideal for a basher or a beginner learning to fly with, offering ample space for electronics. It remains a work-in-progress, with several design issues that need attention. The battery strap holes on the top plate are somewhat restrictive and not optimally positioned, especially when a GoPro camera is mounted and the battery is slid further back to clear its view. The camera mounts require drilling to accommodate your specific camera model. Furthermore, if the GoPro mount is installed at a steep angle and positioned towards the rear of the frame, it may obstruct some of the FPV camera's view. However, the GoPro mount can accept the Session Cage from this excellent X210 pod (I utilize this pod for my GoPros to enable them to be mounted on both frames).
