Apache Camper Sidewall Turn Button for 3D Printing
thingiverse
I've designed a sidewall turn button to fit telescoping-arm covers on Apache Campers. The goal was to create it in one piece without any support needed, but you can use support if your printer has trouble with bridging. I made two versions: one with a threaded hole at the top and another without. The threaded version is designed to perfectly fit a modern #8 sheet metal screw, which I used to reattach my camper's sidewalls. The threading built into the part reduces layer separation and cracking when tightening it down. For those who still have original sidewall screws or want to use different ones, I've included an un-threaded version. If you're dealing with crusty rubber O-Rings on top, consider replacing them with a #5 O-Ring from your local big-box hardware store's plumbing department.
