AP6511 Mounting Bracket

The AP6511 is an older model wireless access point (AP) originally produced by Symbol as part of the WiNG product line, and since owned by Motorala, Zebra, and now Extreme Networks. It was licensed for use in products by a number of other manufacturers, and was one of the first true hospitality class wireless access points. This AP only supports up to 802.11n networks, and only has a 2.4Ghz radio (no 5Ghz), and so is quickly falling out of favor. However, there are still (at the time I write this) a number of existing deployments that make use of the AP. The model I created is a printable replacement mounting bracket. This is my second attempt at a bracket for this AP. The first attempt more closely matched the original, but I found the small tabs which insert into the AP to catch and grab it were too weak. This version instead slightly wraps around the top and bottom. It is much stronger, and still looks pretty good. Note the screw holes use a .3mm thick punchout. I found my printer does better for the screw holes if I put down a couple layers of material first. The holes should fit well over a standard single-gang wall box. ###Dimensions 131mm x 67mm x 13mm
