thingiverse
I'm excited to share my new AP Orbit Skill Toy, a fresh spin on an old favorite that's been collecting dust in my room. Based on three or more spheres and one cord, the middle sphere is free to move along the cord, allowing for a variety of cool tricks and moves - check out this video: https://youtu.be/GJPR9KLJnHQ What do I need to print? 2x APOrbitMid 4x APOrbitEnd I'm using 2mm paracord. If you have questions or concerns about this design, please leave a comment - I'll do my best to respond. Also, be sure to check out my Begleri Skill Toy: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2148389 UPDATE V2: A new version for US dimes is now available. The End-Balls have been redesigned to provide more space for the cord to fit inside. Print Settings: Printer: Anet A8 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: Choose your preference - 0.2-0.08mm works well Infill: 15% is a great starting point Post-Printing: A little sanding may be required, but the design should fit together smoothly. To add some extra weight, there are holes in the design for 1-Euro-Cents (4 per sphere). This design was created using Fusion360.
