Certain Aorus eGPU models exhibit a flaw in their Type-C/Thunderbolt 3 port, which is approximately 2-3mm too shallow. This causes excessive play in the cable connection, resulting in frequent disconnections. To rectify this issue, a small fix can be superglued to the outer case, serving as a keyed slot or shim to eliminate excess movement and ensure stability. When applying glue, use an extremely small amount to avoid any potential complications. A Type-C cable serves as a suitable guide during the gluing process. The Thunderbolt cable should fit snugly within the print without requiring excessive force.
