Aomway 5.8 GHz omni antenna protector (The Balloon)

2019-05-11 Added an alternative, smaller, lower section for the short version of this antenna. 2019-05-10 Upgraded version, slightly smaller and lighter. This is my compact antenna protector designed specifically for the Aomway omni directional FPV antenna. It consists of three parts: two lower sections that fit snugly on either side of the coaxial cable, followed by the top dome that securely attaches to the lower sections. Simply tie a zip tie at the narrowest point to complete the assembly. I created it with smooth curves and no sharp edges to prevent damage from snagging branches or other obstacles. This was the most common cause of antenna destruction in my experience. Printed in ABS, this protector weighs approximately 5.5 grams. I printed mine using a 0.4mm nozzle, two walls, and a layer height ranging from 0.12-0.20mm, with supports only above the threaded areas on the lower sections.
