This is a custom car cup holder designed specifically for the Anytone AT-D878UV Plus handheld radio. It fits snugly into the standard cup holder, ensuring that the radio remains securely in place even during abrupt braking or acceleration. The unique design allows for a slight tilt of the radio's screen, providing an optimal viewing angle for comfortable operation. Additionally, there is a cutout on the back of the holder to enable full access to the keyboard and controls, making it easy to use the device with minimal distractions. In my experience, this cup holder works exceptionally well as long as it is installed correctly in the vehicle's cup holder. I can operate my handheld radio comfortably without needing to visually inspect it, relying solely on touch input. To produce this custom part, a 3D printer was used. The design minimizes material waste by incorporating a hollow interior and allows for printing without supports, assuming the printer has decent bridging capabilities. I printed mine in PLA, but users should note that they may need to sand the edges slightly to prevent scratching their handheld radio. **Important Note:** This cup holder is designed specifically with the 3100 mAh battery in mind, which comes standard with the Anytone AT-D878UV Plus handheld radio. **Additional Note:** Currently, this design does not accommodate a belt clip. However, there are plans to create a version that will allow for belt-clip compatibility in the future.
