UPDATE: wise decision to establish a solid foundation, foot lasted surprisingly long on a leisurely stroll, so modified the SCAD with new variables for a sturdy foot and printed with 5 robust bottom layers and denser infill settings.... Crafted a walking stick and required a rubber foot, thus printing this in ninjaflex. The thing is stored in stick_foot.scad, you adjust the diameter of the stick by setting the dia parameter. Simple yet effective. I printed without top and bottom layers in Slic3r so that the hexes provide grip (but may discover that they merely fill up with mud instead :). The include files are comprised of standard things for drilling holes the correct size (rodsandholes.scad) and an algorithm for achieving walls to be an integer number of threads thick (thread_calc.scad and printer_settings.scad) if you input your nozzle diameter and layer height in the printer settings file, thread_calc performs the calculation.
