Mechanical stability must be checked, but main force on this Z-expander is lateral movement/acceleration of X-carriage, which should be properly compensated with additional surface area to frame. Should be used with no-Z-loading X-belt tensioner to not load Z-rods with X-belt tension. BTW, double fixing T8 rod can lead to increased Z-wobble and friction if T8 rod is not perfectly straight or X-distance of Z-carriage is not aligned to lower Z-mount. Just use smooth rods to fixate.
