Anycubic Predator E3D Hermes adapter
thingiverse
This is the simple adapter I came up with to allow an E3D Hermes extruder to be mounted to an Anycubic Predator in the stock position. It demands some M4 knurled inserts and a soldering iron to install them properly. Using the stock bolts for the springs and the bolts that come with the E3D for the mounts to the stepper, I was able to get it working smoothly. The black and blue wires on the stepper motor connector must be swapped for proper operation. I tested extrusion and got an amazing result of almost 100 mm, so I left the stock calibration in place. Compared to the stock setup, this adapter offers several advantages. It has less slop in the gears, the filament is driven from both sides, no plastic gears wear out, no lubrication is required, and it can be mounted directly to a new hot end (although I haven't tested for clearance with the 6 arms, and new fan mounts would likely be necessary). You can find this adapter on Amazon at https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07CMVBXJD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. By the way, I printed this using my CR10S Pro, but unfortunately, it got knocked off the glass bed, which is why the last 10 or so layers are missing. Despite that, the mounts were in place, so I considered it a temporary pass.
