Anycubic Predator D Raspberry Pi mount
cults3d
I've used this design on several of my printer projects as it's a simple design with good mounting lugs and holds the Pi securely, giving full access to the necessary slots and ports required for Octoprint. My latest purchase was an Anycubic Predator D, which has proprietary castings and extrusions for the main frame, making me hesitant to drill holes in it. The electronics are contained in a steel enclosure at the top of the printer, with sufficient room inside for the Raspberry Pi, but I was concerned about additional heat and limited wifi reception, so I decided to mount it outside. The remix consists of new countersunk holes in the base of the case that align with the hexagonal punched holes of the printer's grille. A frame fits inside the electronics housing, holding four M3 nuts, and the base is screwed to them with four M3 x 8mm screws. You have a choice of top cover designs, including the three original author designs (0110-M-P). One of the photos shows a design for the 30mm fan, which has yet to be installed.
