With three effector adapters plus three carriage adapters, you can easily adapt your Anycubic Predator to work seamlessly with my MagBall Arms using the stock effector. These utilize a center-to-center MagBall spacing of 76mm. The major advantage of utilizing MagBall Arms is that they are zero-backlash, which greatly enhances auto-calibration and enables faithful printing of intricate details. When installing the effector adapters, note that the horizontal holes are intentionally oval-shaped, providing extra flexibility. First, tighten the two M3x16 bolts only finger-tight, then slowly and alternately tighten them until snug, ensuring the adapter seats symmetrically and correctly. By the way, these parts were printed upside down with nut traps on top but should be installed with nut traps facing downwards. You can purchase sets of MagBall Arms directly from Haydn Huntley via email at haydn.huntley@gmail.com. Alternatively, you can use three smart carriage adapters along with David Crocker's Delta Smart Effector. You can acquire these from duet3d.com or filastruder.com. The Delta Smart Effector utilizes a center-to-center MagBall spacing of 55mm. Many thanks go to Jay S. and John Giardino for their help, suggestions, and in John's case, actual testing on his printer. John Giardino wrote up a guide for upgrading to using MagBall Arms and the stock effector/controller: magballarms.com/MagBallRodModificationProcess.docx. Here is a video shot by John Giardino: youtu.be/jtPPRN12znc. These parts were inspired by some of Rizza81's designs found on thingiverse.com/thing:3567642. They were also influenced by Flint Read's posts on Facebook: facebook.com/groups/2134289353555625/permalink/2248853505432542 and facebook.com/groups/2134289353555625/permalink/2248853118765914. The translucent yellow parts were printed on a Photon by Tai Hromnak for his Predator.
