The new lid from KayIOA didn't fit properly on my newly purchased vat. Check out the picture of the original vat (on the left) and the updated one (on the right). The smaller spout made it impossible for the lid to sit flush on top of the vat. To resolve this issue, I replaced the spout, making it compatible with the new lid. There are two options available: a full cover version and an "easy" version featuring two cut-outs that allow you to place the lid on the vat without loosening any screws. Both versions fit perfectly on vats with either type of spout.
