Anycubic Photon Top Mount Lead Nut Mod
thingiverse
I recently encountered a significant issue with my new photon printer, as the lead screw nut showed excessive play which is not standard on the factory model. After spending nearly four days working with support, they agreed to send me a replacement nut. However, I didn't want to wait and probably planned to upgrade the factory nut anyway, so I designed and printed a temporary nut for the top of my FDM printer first and then printed this one using the Scad program files modified on the photon. This modification has greatly improved my prints and I plan to apply it to my other Photon printers as well. I highly recommend checking the lead screw movement by moving the build plate to its home position, holding the top of the lead screw, and seeing if there's any movement. If you don't experience any movement, then you won't need this modification.
