Anycubic Photon S 4" Vent base/adapter

This base allows for easy venting of the Anycubic Photon S into a 4" duct, enabling exhaust into a charcoal filter or outdoors. The Anycubic Photon S lacks an easily replaceable vent grill like its original counterpart. This new base is designed to replace the bottom plate on the Photon S and vents both the bottom and back vents through a 4" collared opening meant for connection to a 4" flexible vent, which can be hooked up to an inline fan and then into a filter or outdoors. Four M3 screws and some nuts are required to secure the base to the photon. The attachment process involves fitting the base to the same holes as the original baseplate and feet. A separate rear attachment is provided, designed for press fit, but epoxy application is recommended. A bit of white bathroom caulking can also be used to seal around the join between the back adapter and the back of the printer. Rubber feet or similar attachments may be added to the bottom to minimize sliding. This solution has been implemented on a metal shelf using neodynium magnets epoxied onto the printer, securing it firmly in place. This print is large, making it advisable to use a bigger nozzle and thicker layer heights to avoid extended printing times. Printing at 0.5mm layer heights with an 0.8mm nozzle achieved satisfactory results. PETG filament is recommended over PLA due to its resistance to UV light degradation. White PETG was used to match the printer casing.
