Anycubic Photon LCD Fan
thingiverse
I've installed the fan duct and so far, it's working like a charm! Unfortunately, one of the mounting arms snapped off when I dropped the fan duct, but even with just one arm holding it together, the part remains surprisingly stable. I've disconnected the chamber fan and connected the LCD fan to that port instead. The noise level of the printer has definitely increased, so install this mod only if your printer isn't in a spot where you need it quiet. The fins have greatly improved airflow, which now flows in the right direction. The finished product looks really nice too. I'm confident that this can work out. I printed the first prototype and checked airflow, and to my surprise, it's actually pumping air through at an incredible rate. Also, I noticed that the airflow was severely skewed, so v1.1 now comes with fins to direct airflow a bit straighter. I'm pretty sure now that this could really work out well. I'm working on building an LCD fan for the Anycubic Photon. This is my progress so far. To be clear, I have no idea if this will work as intended. I'm relying entirely on the CAD file of the photon, so any deviation from the real thing may completely ruin the project. I haven't printed anything yet or installed anything. I plan to use a 45x10.3 radial fan to blow air through the gap of the LED light cone onto the back of the LCD. We'll see if there's any hope for this project. Help with testing or advice is always welcome!
