Anycubic Photon D2 - magflexplate 4,5mm distance

thingiverse

I tried to install a magflexplate system ( https://www.magflexplate.it/ ) on my Anycubic Photon D2. Problem was the system has an overall hight of 4,5 mm and the printer does not allow to set the zero parameter above the endpoint of the rail. The endpoint is determined when the build platform is lowered until an optical sensor is triggered. So I reconstructed the part that triggers the optical sensor in an 4,5mm longer version. So the arm that holds the build plate stops that needed 4,5 mm earlier. Use the part on your own risk! If you decide to use it mind that during the installation you don´t scratch the glasplate or let some screws fall into the printer :-) After installing the replacement I recommend some testing without the build plate installed. Test if the new part slides correctly into the optical sensor without touching it by slowly lowering the arm by small amounts. Then let the printer home and see if the arm stops as it should. Keep your Finger on the power switch so that you can stop the process before your printer is damaged if it does not stop on automatic. After the arm stops on automatic test if the platform fits on the arm in that position and can be lowered using the normal long holes in the fitting.
