Anycubic Photon Aero
thingiverse
Hello there ! As a lot of people here I am sure that the noise the photon is producing during print is quite annoying. My goal with my resin printer was to be able to keep it in my office and get rid of the noise, as much as the smell (Link to the other mod for the odor down below). After seeing a lot of mods for the smell, I decided to start with a mod that will allow to replace the bottom fan (screen cooling) with a much bigger, much more effective 120mm computer fan. I started by checking the power needed by the little fan the photon has and it was a 12V 0.2A. I used a spare Corsair 120mm fan 12V 0.3A. This addons requires to unscrew the bottom part of the photon to unplug the original fan that is screwed to the metal plate. once you remove it, you'll need to cut/unweld the wire from the fan (to keep the connection part of the wire to the motherboad). At this point you can also take care of the upper fan by unplugging and remove it as you will not need it if you follow this other mod I made : You will need to weld the red and black wire accordingly to the new fan. Once this done, pass the wire threw one of the air holes of the bottom of your photon, connect it to the motherboard. Next thing is to screw back the bottom part of the photon in place. You will then need to put the new fan in the top part of the Anycubic Aero (I highly recommend to position the fan for it to blow INSIDE the photon, as the air will circulate inside, cool down the hardware and flow outside the Anycubic Aero). unscrew the 4 plastic support from the bottom part of the photon and screw them to the bottom of the Anycubic Aero. Last step requires to sit the photon on the top of the Anycubic Aero using the 4 guides that will fit inside the old plastic supports. You are done ! You can find my other Photon mod for the odor here : https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4615201 Thank you for reading and please keep in mind that this is my first design ! I am so proud of it but I also know that things could look better obviously ;)
