This is a solid knob with no-where for stuff to hide during washing and a curve on top for run off. Handy for those like me who are happy to dunk the whole build plate into a wash. And being solid with no spaces for cleaning fluids to go into I would assume it will suffer less effect from it. And it has a hole shape and depth that will take the original bolt BUT only after you sand/grind the top round bit flat on the edges. I have a bench sander took all of one minit or less. And it is stainless so will take a bit of sanding by hand, and a file would work, just watch the threads if clamping. It is a snug fit but I did put in some 2 part epox glue as well befor fitting. Oh and it looks like a camo job only because I threw in a different color to add enough to the vat to make 3 of these. Also the overall height of the knob when fitted is no more than the original one so no chance of it running into the top of the cover.
