Anycubic Mega Zero - Dual sided fan tunnel duct for 4010 / 5015 fan

Anycubic Mega Zero - Dual sided fan tunnel duct for 4010 / 5015 fan

Hi, So I was not sure if my other design for a fan tunnel duct for the Mega Zero (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4619826) worked properly. It was still blowing air from one side and I had the feeling it would be better if the air was blown from the other side as well. After a quick search I found the Fan Duct from TheCustomCave (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4588585). The design looks good but I do not like the outlets that are pointed towards the nozzle, so I changed it so that it points downwards like my other design. I also had the feeling that the airflow was not optimised, so I added some internal ribs to guide the air towards the outlets and so that the air converges near the end of the nozzle. Hope you like it. Please let me know your thoughts. Enjoy ! === Update 14-10-2020: Thanks to the valuable feedback of Ivader, the design has become better! I have added a mounting arm with hole that can be fixed to the lower left screw of the hotend hood. Also added a rib running over the top to make the part more stiff. All in all the left side cannot freely vibrate now anymore. Also made a version for the people who have a silicone sock. I know my photos are not good. Thingiverse has a limit of 500kb so I just use the camera on my tablet. Please look at the photos here for more clear and better photos: https://www.thingiverse.com/make:855300 **Update 25-10-2020: Made a version for the popular 5015 fan. I don't have one myself, so I can't check but it should fit. Just use the original screws of the 4010 to mount it to the hood of the hotend and you can mount the 5015 fan to it. **Update 08-11-2020: Updated the height at which the fan duct sits. For stock nozzle the previous version was too low: close to the print bed. In Rev04 the distance is 2.5mm and for the 5015 fan version the revision is updated to Rev02. **Update 10-11-2020: Did a simple water test and in Rev04 the airflow does not converge underneath the nozzle but a bit to the right and with disturbances around. Changed the outlets and now in Rev05 the air flow converges underneath the nozzle without disturbances around, see attached photos. For the 5015 fan the revision has been increased to Rev03 **Update 10-11-2020: Updated the outlets so that the air flow is concentrated directly underneath the nozzle. Even when the nozzle hits the water, after turning on the blower an air flow pocket is directly underneath the nozzle and it stays there at all heights! Versions updated to Rev06 and for the 5015 fan updated to Rev04 **Update 18-11-2020: Updated the version for the 5015 fan so that most/ all 5015 fans fit. There were comments that it didn't fit some fans, so I've made the clearance with interfacing area larger so that all/ most fans can fit. **Update 31-12-2020: Updated the version for the 5015 fan so that the screw heads are more recessed and do not interfere with the fan. Also reduced printing time by creating a hole. **Update 09-01-2021 (Mega_Zero_Fan_Duct for 5015 & without silicone sock Rev06.STL): Added the non-silicone sock version of the 5015 version and raised it with 1mm as requested in the comments. **Update 30-01-2021 (Added Rev07 version): added triangular strut to make the left fan duct more rigid. **Update 04-04-2021 (Added Rev07b versions): this version sits 1.5mm lower/ closer to the printbed. This suits the MZ2.0 and some versions of the MZ1.0 better.** **Update 17-06-2021 (Added Mega_Zero_Fan_Duct for 5015 & silicone sock Rev07b.STL): this version is corrected to the same height as Rev07b for the stock fan. **Update 09-07-2021 (Added Mega_Zero_Fan_Duct for 5015 & silicone sock Rev07c.STL): This version sits 2.5mm lower and the outlets are shortened with 1mm to prevent interreference with a silicone sock. This is a work-in-progress version to see if it will fit the MZ2.0. **Update 09-07-2021 (Added Mega_Zero_Fan_Duct for 5015 & silicone sock Rev07d.STL) : This version has slotted holes and should in theory fit both the MZ1.0 and the MZ2.0. Please try and let me know the results. Thanks!**
