Anycubic Mega X hot end cover
thingiverse
This is a modded hot end cover specifically for the Mega X. This fits as easily as possible with 100% stock parts. There is nothing fancy about this design, on purpose. The biggest change is that airflow has been redirected and modified compared to stock. The cooling fan for the hot end now exhausts out the front of the cover instead of on top of the part. This goes a long way to prevent warping by not super-cooling the part as the layers are put down. This also enables better layer adhesion through more temperature consistency. The floor of this cover is too thin on the original part. I added some thickness here to prevent melting and provide more rigidity to the final piece. The circular fan duct in this collection fits this modded hot end housing with no modifications outside of finishing work for the duct. The combination of the two was to ensure more precise temperature control during printing.
