Anycubic Mega S/ProTop Mounted spool/extruder
thingiverse
I have tried many variations of spool holders, including many of my own designs, and this is my favorite. I can easily swap filament reels with one hand without having to contort my body to see the extruder. It also keeps the Bowden tube out of the way when doing taller prints. This design uses 6002 bearing as stated on original designers page. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5141538/files Required hardware M3 5x5 threaded inserts x6 M3 x15 screw x2 M3 x10 screw x6 optional M3 countersunk washer x2 6002 Bearing x1 Edit: Added an extruder mount that has a cooling fan mount for the extruder motor Edit: 10/18/22 Added an updated version that allows better flow of the filament to the extruder. Also added a smaller spool holder (the 5 blade) as well as the plate it fits on as the larger one would not fit my filament reels. I used jb weld to join the parts but im sure super glue would work as well. The bearing axle seemed a little loose the second time i printed it but i just added a small piece of heat shrink to the part the fits in the bearing and not it fits perfect. if you need any changes made please let me know
