Anycubic Mega-S Part Fan Duct Half-Circle (Remix)
thingiverse
I have upgraded the upper mounting part with my custom design for the "Fan Duct Two-Sided (Remix)" thing:3719846, and added some extra mm to the half-circle part to provide more space between it and the heating block. I printed this in PLA, so I was concerned about the minimal distance, but fortunately, it was perfectly centered around the nozzle, and the heating block is wider on one side. The resulting airflow cross-section will be more egg-shaped instead of round, still providing 180° coverage. So far, it's working great! Changes include: * Fan mount region now fits my original Mega-S part fan * Screw holes no longer require a nut * Added 45° walls to overhangs for added support * Increased width by about 3mm to maintain distance from the heating block Redline Filament, Eisengrau Glitzer is what I'm using: Amazon DE: https://amzn.to/2Yy321z Note that this link is an affiliate link. If you purchase the product through this link, I'll receive a small commission, but the price won't change. EDIT: I recently ran a temperature tower from 195-220°C and didn't experience any bridging issues at all. I'll try some special bridge tests and update again soon! EDIT: If you're planning to print this in PLA, be aware that the right side of the half-circle fan blow-out may sag down due to the material's properties. To address this, I've printed a complete Hotend cover for added structural strength, even with PLA.
