Anycubic kossel+ protection grids
cults3d
I was intrigued by the concept of Coat to build a grid that keeps wires out of the anycubic kossel basement without obstructing airflow for stepper or electronic cooling. I revised it to be more streamlined and flat. Next, I added an upper grid based on the same principle to prevent electrical wires from touching the hot bed - something that always bothered me. Now I feel safer and even have about 1 cm of space between the grid and the bed to add extra insulation to stop the bed from heating up the electronics! Note: The maximum outer diameter is 220 mm, including fixations, so it will push your printer near its maximum printing size. For some reason, the original firmware doesn't allow such a print size. However, marlin 1.1.9 allows 232 mm and prints fine with it.
