Anycubic Kossel E3D v6 upgrade kit

Installing an E3D v6 hot end to Anycubic Kossel is a challenging task that requires more than just a few compatible parts. Many claim it's easy, but this is far from the truth. The genuine v6 hot end has distinct differences compared to Chinese clones, including its shorter length and unique adapter. Original Anycubic boxes are poorly designed, which results in reduced cooling at the hottest point of the cold part of the hot end. This doesn't prevent it from working but can lower your top reliable temperature by 20-30°C. For users who cannot exceed 230°C due to PTFE limitations, this might not be a concern. However, for those with all-metal hot ends, being able to print PLA at 270°C would be an exciting capability. Despite Anycubic's effort to increase vertical building volume by 50mm, reliability and the ability to use the machine to its full potential are more important. To address this issue, a custom solution was designed and made. To install the v6 hot end, you'll need: A reliable machine capable of printing high-quality ABS parts 10 x M3 hex nuts 4 x 16-20mm M3 bolts (to mount the cage to the effector) 4 x 8-25mm M3 bolts (to assemble the cage) 2 x 6mm M3 bolts (to install magnetic probe plate) 2-4 x M3 or M4 bolts to mount your 40mm fan (depending on your exact fan, should be 3-6mm longer than your fan holes depth) To perform the installation: Mount the magnetic probe plate (it won't fit later) Insert the v6 hot end with the heating block facing away from the probe plate Use a heat gun to soften clamping parts of the cage if necessary Screw the cage together, ensuring there are no gaps Insert the cage into the effector; you can cut it if it's too tight or add a shim or some PTFE tape if it's too loose Put the shim part on top of the effector and screw the cage to the effector Clip on part cooler; you may prefer to glue your 5015 cooler for extra security Future plans include designing part cooling fan modules for different fans. For now, a 5015 fan is sufficient, and there isn't too much free time available.
