The design created by 8squarefeet was somewhat crude for my needs (physically), so I trimmed it down, adding some fillets in the process. I also enlarged the hole to accommodate pigtails being fed through. Moreover, I was unable to attach it to spikelee's impressive V5 housing when used with Paul_GD's effector. The outcome was two mounts: - Underfan: as its name suggests, it is intended for mounting under the fan. Settings recommended by 8squarefeet for underfan remain unchanged: X = +36.1 Y = -27.2 Z = -2.1 If you don't want to recompile your firmware, use M851 X36.1 Y-27.2 Z-2.1 on Marlin. Your results may vary, so don't consider the above as a definitive configuration. - Overfan: I added clearance for 5.5mm of the m3 screw's head to fit inside, which allows for more length of the screw to be used without having to get longer screws; this was my second issue with the original design. My settings: X = +36.1 Y = -39.7 Z = -2.1 M851 X36.1 Y-39.7 Z-2.1 With an overfan configuration, you will need to set your MIN_PROBE_EDGE to anything between 40 and 50 to avoid crashing the effector. With the underfan configuration, a MIN_PROBE_EDGE of 20-30 should suffice, but your results may vary. Pics will be uploaded once the printer is assembled. I've been struggling to find a lightweight and simple effector combo. I gave up on the V6 due to persistent heat-creep issues, and the stock V5 is actually 6g lighter.
