To avoid problems with curling on perimeters of any model, I decided to add two coolers (fans) that cool filament immediately as it is laid. One cooler is not enough because only one side of the model was without curling, the other side still developed it. Unfortunately, adding coolers narrows down available horizontal work space, as print head needs some clearance from coolers. However, if one can live with that, give it a try. I used two 12cm Nidec TA450DC 12V/0.8A coolers, which are capable of delivering 220CFM, enough for anything. It is a bit overkill but I did not have any other smaller cooler available and wanted to avoid small 40 or 50mm coolers because I do not trust them. The electronics I am using for regulation of fan speed is available from link: http://www.pcbheaven.com/circuitpages/Simple_Linear_Fan_Controller/ It is the simplest linear regulator that can be built. I used a C3039 transistor that I had at home but any NPN power-type can do job. With circuit, I am able to regulate fans from ~7V to 12V, allowing quite fine regulation even at lower RPMs. It is not fine PWM regulation but usable. The third drawing is the case for this electronics that can be attached to left cooler holder easily. Note that there are holes for a 40mm fan, needed to cool power transistor at low fan RPMs. Yes, it seems a bit redundant, cooling transistor that regulates fans that are cooling model, but believe me dissipation at lower RPMs is quite high so cooling of transistor is indeed needed. For mounting holders to alu extrusions, I used remaining 4mm screws and nuts that were provided by Anycubic. All drawings were created in Sketchup, and these are included as well. Feel free to modify them if necessary. Print Settings Printer: Anycubic Kossel Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 30% Notes: Rotated models in Slic3r and printed all parts standing. The holes for fixing parts to two 2020 aluminium extrusion are a bit off, for left cooler holder I used 38mm distance, that was not enough, for right cooler holder I tried 40mm that was too much. So in both cases one has to drill a bit (few seconds matter) or modify original draw. Sketchup files are available. Note that the left holder is 2mm thick, the right one 3mm thick. The thickness of the right part is justified by fact that two "legs" that can be fixed to alu extruders are quite thin so I wanted material to be stronger.
