I had originally downloaded a filament sensor holder for my Kobra 2 as I use overhead dry boxes to feed my printers. The holder I found was not up to par with what I needed it to do so I added and tweaked it.Now, the entire sensor sits on the holder, there is a beefier wall to screw in the Bowden tube connector and I added a roller with a 608 bearing in the middle. The benefit to this unit is that the sensor is at a 90 degree to the printer so you can use either the roller from overhead, or use the spool to the side in any position. Just dont feed the roller. To mount this, use 2 strong zip ties to secure the base to the tab on the printer as shown in the photo. Screw in the Bowden tube. Print the roller and use a M3x 20mm screw and nut to go through the roller to secure it in place. You will need the roller and 2 spacers from this:https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3052488Update: I strengthened the base where the piece zip ties to the Kobra and added 2 slots to keep the zip ties in place better. I also added a slot to outside the spool so filament can go in and out easier. That slot will close when you tighten the wheel bolt but it will spread apart when needed.
