anycubic_i3Mega__ZEndstops - A temporary design that isn't entirely perfect but has managed to survive long enough that I no longer feel the need to improve it. The right-hand-side unit is a little flimsy, but once it's installed you'll never notice. Allows easy installation and height adjustment by replacing two M3 bolts on the front of the mega's case with a slightly longer one. The M3x6mm that is already installed in the front of the case may be long enough, iirc I used an M3x8mm. Be careful how long it is though, or it may poke something inside, like the z-nemas. Requires two standard reprap style mechanical endstops, not those weird ones anycubic supplied. Also requires: - 4-M3x16mm wedge head bolts - screw into the nuts - 4-M3 nuts - 4-M3x12mm button head bolts - screw into the plastic (cap head may also fit, I used button to avoid touching the rods inside the gantry) For assembly refer to: anycubic_i3Mega__ZEndstop-mechanical_EXPLODED.stl Works for me: - PLA, 0.4mm nozzle, 190/60C, 1.2mm perimeters/top/bottom, no support. NOTE: I print with a 0.4mm nozzle so I specify 0.4mm external perimeter width in Slic3r. TO ALL OF MY MODELS TO DATE. Typically a 0.4mm nozzle prints its external perimeters at 0.45 to 0.48mm by default, so unless you instead specify 0.4, you will probably find mated parts are too tight and bolt holes do not fit bolts. Specify 0.4mm external perimeter and you should get the results I do: perfect fit. Why do I do this? Because it makes the math and the modeling easier and more precise than needing to add 0.45 to 0.48...divided by two (0.225 to 0.24) to everything....0.4 divided by 2 is 0.2...and easier.
