# Anycubic i3 Mega Y Belt Tensioner ### General I created this remix of the original Y belt tensioner by Itlowe because I needed a solution that works with M4 bolts instead of the usual M5 bolt for the carriage and knob. ### Why The global pandemic caused supply chain disruptions, making it difficult to find the required hardware at reasonable prices or times. Online shopping was no exception. ### Differences #### Assembly Assembling this tensioner is similar to the original, so if you're familiar with the process, you're good to go. #### Knob To accommodate M4*30 bolts, I shortened the knob and added a sacrificial bridge for easy printing without supports. Simply screw in the bolt to pierce the bridge or use a blade to weaken it for a more secure fit. A 4mm drill can also be used if needed. #### Holes All holes and sockets are chamfered to facilitate easier assembly, helping to center the nuts and bolts for a smooth fit. However, be aware that tolerance variations may require additional force or hammering to achieve a proper press-fit.
