When I installed polymer Igus bearings, I discovered that the original Y carriage plate was warped. This caused the bearings to move with excessive friction. After installing this new plate, which is straight and significantly stronger than the original, the Y carriage began working smoothly. I also removed the springs because they were generating too much tension; a properly leveled carriage works great without them. You can find nuts covers for bed leveling here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2843274 Also, check my I3 Mega ULTIMATE upgrade guide, which contains valuable knowledge that may help you achieve optimal results. You'll find it here: http://bit.ly/2OVbu5Z I'm using this setup with bearing holders and Igus RJZM-02-08 bearings: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1062598 Three bearings are sufficient for the bed, as I found that four were not necessary; three work better and are easier to mount properly. You can also use my bearing holders, which are designed specifically for Igus RJ4JP-01-08: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2791727 The Y Carriage Plate is available here: http://bit.ly/2pMdqmX This belt mount uses M4 nuts and bolts; use Zip-ties to secure the belt.
