I took the idea from others on thingiverse but wanted one specifically for some WS2812b Leds I already had, I initially tried to remake one or 2 others, in the end I found it easier to start from scratch. I am using 2 strips of 5050 Leds (60 per meter) They run up each side and then meet in the middle of the top. The Trigorilla on its own is not suitable for driving so many addressable LED's because it is too slow and there are not enough CPU cycles to drive it reliably. Therefore I decided to drive them from Octoprint. The Octoprint plugin I decided on is WS281x LED Status available in the plugin manager or here. https://github.com/cp2004/OctoPrint-WS281x_LED_Status To make it nice and clean I puchased this larger than needed buck converter https://amzn.to/33NzfWv and also some level converters (only need 1) because the LED's require 5V and the raspberry GPIO is only 3V3 https://amzn.to/2ZXHfmA To make it tidy I grabbed a set of these JST connectors too. https://amzn.to/2FH3Jlb I made a couple of standoff holders to take the plugs that clip into the side vents ( I have upgraded the cooling inside so no worries about blocking a couple of holes) Led_Socket.stl clips in place where the 220/110V switch is, twin_plugs.stl clips in by the USB Port. The Buck Converter, Logic Level converter and capacitor all fit on the converter_holder.stl the buck converter requires 2x 6mm M3 bolts and nuts, the logic levewl converter just clips in, and the capacitor uses a small 3mm tiewrap. The mounting for this uses the 2 bolt holes under the front right of the bed, where I guess another endstop could be fitted. the JST plugs push and clip into the mounts, 2x 3pin plugs and sockets are required and 1 2 pin plug and socket I also used a 320mm length of carbon 4mm tube for the pi-camera mount, This allows me to adjust the height and swing the camera over the bed for closer or further away watching. the roll holder and pi holder have mounting holes for the carbon tube or rod. All the parts are fairly tight fitting and should not require any scaling. you will need to print 1 x Top.stl 2 x Top_Led.stl 1x LT_Led.stl 1x LT_Support.stl 1x LB_Led.stl 1x LB_Support.stl 1x Roll_Holder.stl 1 x Fil_Guide_rasp_holder.stl 3 x sides.stl 1x cam_arm.stl 1x cam_mount.stl 1x cam_front_cover.stl 1x cam_rear_cap.stl In the photo, I havent yet removed the self adhesive backing from the leds, so they look crooked in the photo.
