Inspired by the innovative design of the Raspi camera holder for the i3 Mega (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2275881), a custom holder was created to enhance webcam monitoring with OctoPrint. This advanced setup allows for smoother timelapse video playback, as if the camera were positioned at a fixed point. The newly designed holder requires no screws and securely clamps onto the sheet metal beneath the print plate, ensuring stability and ease of use. A demonstration video showcasing the 20 mm hollow calibration cube (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:271736) can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/Uj4-BXuUzgA). UPDATE 2017-08-18: After several weeks of using this holder, a problem arose where the plastic deformed and obstructed heatbed movement in its most forward position. A revised design was planned to address this issue by clamping onto the right side of the sheet metal instead. UPDATE 2017-09-16: The new holder design (filename: Kamerahalter V3.stl) has been uploaded, featuring a clamp system that secures to the side of the sheet metal, ensuring it won't interfere with rails even if the material softens. UPDATE 2018-11-17: To print a variant of the holder in PETG, which is known for its stickiness, individual parts were created and designed to be glued together without support material. Printing has not yet commenced; when complete, images will be uploaded.
