Anycubic i3 Mega Spool Holder
cults3d
Just a quick forward: I used a piece of bowden tubing to go from the small guide hole to the extruder as it is such a sharp bend. This allows it to work, but without it it may not work so well. (Being that this design may not work the best, I have designed a new version that requires use of an old harddrive bearing/spindle. It may work better for some! https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2776254) My class got an Anycubic i3 Mega and I wanted a spool holder that would integrate into the Anycubic i3 Mega instead of having the external acrylic holder. So, I came up with this idea and utilized I-Beam structure for the support of the arm. It should allow spools up to 100mm wide and 250mm in diameter. In addition, the center hole diameter can be 2" or larger. The symbol on the plate is something that identifies my engineering class as makers. Enjoy! FYI, the stock screws will not work with this print. I have aligned the holes to match those of the stock screw holes (with some extra height adjustment), but you will need screws that are 3mm longer than stock. I believe the stock screws are M3x5 and need to be M3x8.
