Anycubic i3 Mega Spool holder
thingiverse
I've tried numerous Spool Holders for my Anycubic i3 Mega, but none worked as expected. Every holder had the spool positioned front to back, which led to inconsistent feeding and frequent jamming regardless of where I placed the spool. To solve this issue, I designed my own custom Spool Holder. The key difference is that it allows the spool to sit at a 90-degree angle relative to the printer, resulting in smoother filament feeding into the extruder. When printing this holder, you'll need to add supports on both the spool (printed upright) and the bracket (printed inverted). For optimal results with Cura, I recommend setting the support Z distance to 0.2 and the XY support distance to 0.7. This should help the supports detach more easily after printing.
