Very simple adapter for direct drive orbiter 1.5 with v6 hotend. Extruder is directly touching hotend heatsink, so no Z space is wasted. It still limits maximum Z heights by ~10mm to 195mm but it is much better than what can be done with stock (longer) hotend and stock metal plate. To attach X belt included belt holder can be used, or alternatively this belt holder with few shims to align the belt correctly: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3868324 Will also need part cooling fan duct, anything attaches from behind should work. I used one from here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4838191, another good option is this: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3283479 What's on photo is v1, while testing it at high speed/acceleration i've noticed some vibrations which were not there with stock hotend, so i added few ribs to make it more stiff. v2 also has the part which hits X endstop extended by 3mm to deal with part cooling fan i've used hitting endstop holder before the endstop itself. For assembly you will need 2 x 35-40mm m3 screws, 4 x 15mm m3 screws, 2 x 20mm m3 screws, 8 x m3 nuts and some shims for belt holder. All the screws apart from 35-40mm ones can be longer too. Update 12.11.2021: -Added belt holder with correct dimensions which does not require shims/spacers. -Printed and tested V2 version with ribs, it indeed works better with one caveat - it limits the way how hotend cooling fan can be placed (front only, without ribs it is possible to place it sideways too). -Added PTFE tube holder designed for MegaPro specifically, it reuses "bowden adapter" from stock BMG clone and allows using reverse bowden configuration to feed filament exactly the same way as before to be able to use stock spool holder and filament runout sensor.
