Anycubic I3 Mega - Sensor Guide ( for V 04)
thingiverse
I recently unboxed my new Anycubic I3 Mega and was struck by its poorly designed filament runout sensor mounting system. Determined to find a solution, I turned to Thingiverse, where I quickly discovered Danlim's sensor guide. However, upon reading through the comments, I realized that this design wouldn't work for me due to my printer's unique features - specifically, the injection-molded sensor and its cable located on the side. Undeterred, I decided to print the part anyway, taking meticulous measurements and subsequently redesigning it using Fusion 360. To improve the fit, I deepened the holding gap for the sensor and added a slit for the cable. After printing, I was pleased to find that the part worked perfectly with my printer, serving its intended purpose. This was my first design attempt, and as a novice in both 3D printing and Fusion 360, I'm still learning the ropes. Please print this and provide feedback on how it performs for you - consider this a work in progress! If anyone could offer guidance on orienting the part in Cura to prevent support material from clogging up the holes, I would greatly appreciate it.
